The case of mutilation with the red suitcase mode that occurred in Ngawi Regency became a public spotlight because of the cruelty of the perpetrators and their impact on the victims and the community. This research is motivated by the importance of understanding the aspects of criminology and victimology in analyzing cases of extreme crimes such as mutilation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that cause the crime of mutilation of red luggage from a criminological perspective, as well as to assess the impact experienced by victims and victims' families from a victimization perspective. The research method used is a qualitative approach with literature study techniques and case analysis through media documentation and in-depth interviews with law enforcement officials. The results of the study showed that the motives of the perpetrators of mutilation included economic factors, personal conflicts, and complex psychological influences, while in terms of victimology, the victim and his family experienced deep physical, psychological, and social suffering. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the need for an integrated approach in handling mutilation cases, including preventive efforts, rehabilitation for the victim's family, and increasing the role of law enforcement in restoring a sense of security in the community.
